Hands-on Manual Therapy
I am a Certified Functional Manual Therapist (CFMT). What do all these letters mean? That I have spent years learning hands-on treatment techniques to help you move, get out of pain, and make changes quickly. To learn more about this approach, check out Functional Manual Therapy.
Pelvic Health
Struggling with something “down there” but don’t know what to do or who to talk to about it? I can help! Urine leakage/incontinence, constipation, painful sex, challenges during pregnancy/post-partum, and tailbone pain are conditions that can get better with physical therapy! I have done advanced training in this area through Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute, Pelvic Global Academy, and Julie Wiebe, PT
Dry Needling
Dry Needling is a fantastic tool I use to increase flexibility, reduce pain, and train muscles to work more efficiently. Whether you are an athlete preparing for or recovering from competition or you have struggled with a chronic pain condition, dry needling could help!

One Hour Physical Therapy Session
I am an out-of-network (OON) provider for all insurances. Payment for physical therapy is accepted on the day of your appointment. I will be happy to provide you with a detailed receipt (called a superbill) that you can submit to your insurance.
If your insurance plan provides coverage/partial coverage for out-of-network PT, you could receive reimbursement directly from your insurance. If you are unsure of your insurance coverage for out-of-network providers, I recommend contacting your insurance.
Here are the reasons I am an out-of-network provider:
1) Length of PT Appointment: I spend an hour or more providing private, individualized treatment to one patient at a time. For insurance-model PT, time with a therapist is often limited to 15-30 minutes and multiple patients are being seen at one time.
2) Expertise and Consistency: I do not utilize physical therapy aides or assistants to provide your treatment. Your entire session, and every session, is spent with me only.
3) You are in control. Insurance companies dictate how long you can receive PT and limit what you can receive PT for. That is not the case at here at BWPT. You and I will decide together how long you need therapy. And I work to make that time frame as efficient as possible. Want to work on one part of your body one session and a completely different part the next session? We can do that! We are not limited by insurance authorization.
4) Transparency: Your fee covers all treatment and any supplies associated. There are no surprise bills that show up months later. If we use dry needling, kinesiotape, theraband, etc during your session, you will never be charged an additional fee.
